1. Ask the talent buyers for recommendations. They will only tell you acts that they know, like and draw at their venues. You can also get solicitations to any suggestions.
2. Ask local people that you know for suggestions: friends, fans, family members. You can do so with a phone call, text message or social media post.
3. Check out the venues' websites and make a note of the acts playing on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. Then google them to make sure they would be a good fit and reach out.
4. Post a show availability on Indie on the Move. Our system will not only post it to the site, but also send geo-targeted email alerts out to the community informing them of the opportunity.
5. Use YouTube. Search venue name, city, and your music genre. You can then sort videos by most viewed or recently uploaded.
6. Search for acts via the Indie on the Move members directory. Be sure to use the location and genre filters to find appropriate acts.
