There's nothing else out there like Indie On The Move. Not only is it the most extensive and accurate resource available, it's also free to use and constantly growing. IOTM helps from the beginning of the booking process all the way to filling that last minute date by connecting with it's users via notifications of new venues and show availability alerts. The venue reviews, written by touring musicians just like myself, have also proven to be extremely helpful: taken with a grain of salt they've helped prepare me for some of the situations that can arise from booking at a place you've never even seen. Since I quit my day job to play music full time in 2011, IOTM has been a primary factor in booking over 150 shows in 27 different states. Thanks for helping make my dreams come true! Keep up the great work!
https://www.indieonthemove.com/index.php/users/laurakbalkeThis site has opened the door for us as a band...Indie on the Move has helped us finally find an efficient way to book shows and scout out new venues to grow our band. I hope every venue will sign up !
https://www.indieonthemove.com/index.php/users/The_Morning_KingsHi Guys, It's Stacy from the band Finer. Just saying thank you in advance. I met Zelazowa when you came through Indianapolis many years back and followed you via myspace and have kept on eye on IOTM since. My husband and I sold our home and will be going on the road full time starting the end of January. We are going to use your site to help us. So thank you! We appreciate everything you have done. Sincerely, Stacy http://www.finerband.com
https://www.indieonthemove.com/index.php/users/FinerOne of the most unclear steps in booking your band is how to approach the venues. Some venues are very clear in how they want you to inquire about a gig and some are not. Venues often disregard emails that don't have the right subject line or just come across as unprofessional. IOTM made it that much more clear with their "Booking Tips" on how to approach each venue considering each one requires different information. In Addition, IOTM has made that much easier to find venues rather than sitting for hours just trying to find the venues that you may be able to book. This has saved our band so much time so we can focus on more important things, like playing music! Thanks IOTM and cheers! Forward Motion
https://www.indieonthemove.com/index.php/users/forwardmotionmusicMy company L Rock Entertainment, relies on IOTM on a daily basis. Whether I am posting availabilities at one of the many venues I book events at, or using their informative listing of venues to book tours, IOTM is THE site for booking whether you are an artist or a venue. It's easy to use, and they are always open to suggestions. I highly recommend IOTM. Not only do they let me post my shows--they tweet about them. I have been able to fill in last minute slots with high quality touring acts and have made countless connections. Thank you IOTM!!
https://www.indieonthemove.com/index.php/users/LRockEntertainmentI just wanted to write and let you know how helpful this site has been to me as a musician. Solo and with the Kristen Ford Band I have played close to 200 shows a year since 2000. Last year I was on tour for 2 and a half months straight, this year I have been on the road constantly on the weekends and working on 3 months of touring. Since 2011 I have sold roughly 1,500 records on the road. It means the world to me- thank you! Kristen http://www.kristenfordmusic.com
https://www.indieonthemove.com/index.php/users/kristenfordIndieOnTheMove has been Scorpion Child's most valuable resource as an indie band. We have booked over 120 shows in 2012 via IOTM and it's allowed us to finally support ourselves as a full-time working band. We love you IOTM!
https://www.indieonthemove.com/index.php/users/Scorpion.ChildHey, this is Jesse from Chicago band JET W. LEE (http://www.jetwleeband.com). We recently released our 2nd LP called Western Nightmare and decided to quit our jobs and really go for it supporting ourselves through music. We've already toured all of Sept. and will have played most of the lower 48 by the end of December. Right now we do all of our own booking and I'm honestly not sure we'd be able to do that without Indie on the Move. It seems like such an obvious idea to have an updated venue/band list on the internet but NO ONE else has done it like you guys. The sheer amount of time we have saved by not having to always scroll through facebook or myspace pages is IMMENSE. Plus those sites don't really have a good way to search by location so that makes it worse. One of the coolest things about IOTM, in our opinion, is the email notifications for new gig availabilities. This past month we've been able to fill 2 open dates on our tour because we got an email a few days in advance. Pretty awesome! Anyone who is touring a decent amount knows what a hassle booking is. IOTM makes it a little easier to chase down that dream, and for that we thank you!! Jesse JET W. LEE jesse@jetwleeband.com http://www.jetwleeband.com
https://www.indieonthemove.com/index.php/users/jetwleeI'm a singer/songwriter from Asheville, NC and decided to take my music on the road full-time last January. Over the last nine months then I've played over 130 shows at over 70 different venues from Florida to Ohio. Constant traveling and booking shows at the same can be more than a little daunting, but IOTM has proven an invaluable resource in this respect. The vast majority of the shows that I book are from the IOTM database and I don't know what I'd do without it! Thanks to IOTM for helping DIY artists such as myself follow their dreams! I'm a Swedish singer/songwriter on a two year tour throghout the USA and I'm using IOTM all the time to find venues and booking contacts. I don't even know how many of the venues I've played so far has been through IOTM, but probably 70% at least! In 9 months I've played about 150 shows in 31 states and right now I'm booking for next year. It's been quite the adventure as well as a great way to introduce my music and my new album The Owls Are Not What They Seem to the US market. Just a few years ago it would have been so much harder to do a tour like this, and IOTM is such a big part of making it easier for artists to get on the road! /Sofia http://music.sofiatalvik.com
