Straight up - Sunshine Riot could not tour or play nearly as many shows as we do every year if we didn't have IOTM. This might be the most valuable resource available to indy artists today. And the fact that it's FREE means we can save money for nasty motel rooms, whip-its and cheap beer. Amen.

As a live hip hop band, pitching and locking in venues can be difficult for our genre. But working with Kyle, I got a a few things structured to make my product presentation and pitch stronger. We worked with Kyle on booking out of state shows. He is beyond attentive, kept up on every email, and when we finally executed everything, it was quick and efficient. within the hour of the campaign getting finished, we were receiving responses. Had I done this myself (which was my plan) it would have taken days to look up all the venues from all the markets and hours to send out emails. This was amazing and I WILL be using this again.

IOTM has opened up possibilities to get our music to audiences we couldn't reach before. And to venues we like to play! Grateful for these options and the service us indies get from Kyle and crew! I don't know why we'd not do this again. Until then...

Booking tours is stressful, daunting and Prozac-inspiring. All artists want to do is share their music, not be in the logistics business. That's why the guys at IOTM are such lifesavers. They give you a thoughtful and comprehensive list of venues to consider, and truly encourage, motivate and help steer you to the smartest decisions. Indie musicians need friends. (And I'm not talking about the pennies from Spotify). I have found IOTM to be the kind of friend we need in a world that's changing fast. And not always for the better.

My band Lost In Society has been touring for 5 years, we average over 100 shows a year and 95% of them are booked through Indie On The Move. This is the most user friendly website there is out there for independent artists to network with venues and other bands. Seriously. I don't think I could book my tour without ITOM. They're a one stop shop for independent artists. Booking contacts, band contacts, promo/press contacts, touring tips, quick pitch... I just wanted to let everyone know how pleased I am with the assistance I've received through IOTM's DIT Tour Booking Experience...I've done my own booking for smaller tours, but wanted to save some time and make sure I was being as effective as possible with my approach. Kyle has been an invaluable resource in helping me perfect my booking inquiry email, helping me route out a tour, and most importantly, in setting up the initial set of venues to approach and sending them the inquiries. The proof is in the pudding, and with his assistance through the DIT Tour Booking Experience, the response rate from clubs increased tremendously, which in turn minimized the number of holes in my schedule that I need to follow up on further. I've already booked nine shows, only a few weeks after he sent out the pitch letters to the clubs he identified for me. Previously, doing my own booking, and using a pitch letter I composed on my own, it took several emails, many phone calls, and months of time to book the same number of dates. Now if only it were easier to get appropriate local support on weeknights...:) IOTM has helped me here too -- their Availabilities feature is great.
