My company L Rock Entertainment, relies on IOTM on a daily basis. Whether I am posting availabilities at one of the many venues I book events at, or using their informative listing of venues to book tours, IOTM is THE site for booking whether you are an artist or a venue. It's easy to use, and they are always open to suggestions. I highly recommend IOTM. Not only do they let me post my shows--they tweet about them. I have been able to fill in last minute slots with high quality touring acts and have made countless connections. Thank you IOTM!!
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/LRockEntertainmentI just wanted to write and let you know how helpful this site has been to me as a musician. Solo and with the Kristen Ford Band I have played close to 200 shows a year since 2000. Last year I was on tour for 2 and a half months straight, this year I have been on the road constantly on the weekends and working on 3 months of touring. Since 2011 I have sold roughly 1,500 records on the road. It means the world to me- thank you! Kristen http://www.kristenfordmusic.com
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/kristenfordIndieOnTheMove has been Scorpion Child's most valuable resource as an indie band. We have booked over 120 shows in 2012 via IOTM and it's allowed us to finally support ourselves as a full-time working band. We love you IOTM!
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/Scorpion.ChildHey, this is Jesse from Chicago band JET W. LEE (http://www.jetwleeband.com). We recently released our 2nd LP called Western Nightmare and decided to quit our jobs and really go for it supporting ourselves through music. We've already toured all of Sept. and will have played most of the lower 48 by the end of December. Right now we do all of our own booking and I'm honestly not sure we'd be able to do that without Indie on the Move. It seems like such an obvious idea to have an updated venue/band list on the internet but NO ONE else has done it like you guys. The sheer amount of time we have saved by not having to always scroll through facebook or myspace pages is IMMENSE. Plus those sites don't really have a good way to search by location so that makes it worse. One of the coolest things about IOTM, in our opinion, is the email notifications for new gig availabilities. This past month we've been able to fill 2 open dates on our tour because we got an email a few days in advance. Pretty awesome! Anyone who is touring a decent amount knows what a hassle booking is. IOTM makes it a little easier to chase down that dream, and for that we thank you!! Jesse JET W. LEE jesse@jetwleeband.com http://www.jetwleeband.com
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/jetwleeI'm a singer/songwriter from Asheville, NC and decided to take my music on the road full-time last January. Over the last nine months then I've played over 130 shows at over 70 different venues from Florida to Ohio. Constant traveling and booking shows at the same can be more than a little daunting, but IOTM has proven an invaluable resource in this respect. The vast majority of the shows that I book are from the IOTM database and I don't know what I'd do without it! Thanks to IOTM for helping DIY artists such as myself follow their dreams! I'm a Swedish singer/songwriter on a two year tour throghout the USA and I'm using IOTM all the time to find venues and booking contacts. I don't even know how many of the venues I've played so far has been through IOTM, but probably 70% at least! In 9 months I've played about 150 shows in 31 states and right now I'm booking for next year. It's been quite the adventure as well as a great way to introduce my music and my new album The Owls Are Not What They Seem to the US market. Just a few years ago it would have been so much harder to do a tour like this, and IOTM is such a big part of making it easier for artists to get on the road! /Sofia http://music.sofiatalvik.com
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/makakimusicMy band Xombie was putting together this incredibly detailed Google document of every promoter and venue we worked with or wanted to work with. Then I found IOTM and realized I had been completely wasting my time! IOTM has everything we needed. IOTM has helped us book countless shows, get in touch with a few media contacts, and has helped make our tour a reality. Thank you very much -Xombie
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/XombieThe LC's have been around for 2 years and have always used IOTM to book shows on a national and regional basis. We don't know how IOTM does it, but they attract a very professional and responsive set of bar and club owners and bookers....rare in this biz! The knowledge base, contact lists and helpful tips and information that are found here can't be duplicated....at least not that we've seen, and believe us, we've seen em all. Keep up the outstanding work IOTM crew! The Legendary Clampetts http://www.thelegendaryclampetts.com
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/legendaryclampettsIOTM has put the power of touring into our hands. We are able to imagine the tour, look up the venues, write the emails, book the shows and then do what really counts, which is to play live. We (Jim Hanft and partner, Samantha Yonack) have booked over 4 tours with the help of IOTM and will continue to use it as a necessary resource. It is truly insane that this site is free and YOU ACTUALLY SEE RESULTS. https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/lawnmowersoundsHey there! I just wanted to take a few minutes and say "Thanks" to IOTM! A year ago, I had no idea where to even begin when it came to booking shows. We are now in the middle of a 52 show tour, taking place over about 3 months - and we did it all with IOTM. We use the venues lists, artist lists, classifieds and press lists all on a daily basis. We divide it up so that one band member works on each section of the site and it makes DIY touring completely smooth. It's perfect for us because while we don't have a lot of money to pay professional bookers or agents, we do have time, and with IOTM, that's everything. We're saving a lot of money by running the tour DIY and without IOTM, that would be impossible! Thank you, thank you, thank you for helping us and all the other great bands out there working hard to do what they love. We wouldn't have it any other way. Andrew England in 1819
