I just wanted to post a quick message thanking you for the amazing resource you've put together for independent musicians. My name's Michael McFarland, I'm a rhythmic alt-pop singer/songwriter from Asheville, North Carolina. I'm about to embark on my second tour of the year - the first was 23 dates, all east of the Mississippi, this tour is 30 dates, ranging from Chicago to Minneapolis to Austin to San Diego to Portland - and I booked them both using only IndieOnTheMove. I don't know what I'd do without your site! You can check out my whole tour schedule here: http://michaelmcfarlandmusic.com/tour-dates/ And the rest of my website, is of course: http://michaelmcfarlandmusic.com/ Thanks again, and keep up the incredible work! https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/michaelmcfarlandI have been using IOTM for about a month now and it has change the way I do business. I own a boutique booking agency and IOTM has helped me emmensely in finding new bands, and finalizing shows. Also, finding new venues in booking tours for my clients. Thank you IOTM!
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/LRockEntertainmentIt was about 2 and a half months of a quite successful run and we booked the entire thing through Indie On the Move. You guys are the best and have really got a lock on all things indie! We used the site to find venues to play, posted to the classifieds to find support acts on nights when we booked the whole bill and even found a few shows in the band wanted section to hop on while we were killing time last minute in random cities. From your DIY guides- to the in depth information you provide on each club we knew exactly what we were getting into before even stepping foot in any venue. Indie On the Move prepared us like nothing else for the trials and tribulations of the road and had us one step ahead of the rest- able to enjoy every mile! The staff is so friendly and supportive- you guys even went so far as to log into my account for me and help me fix some adds when I couldn't get to the internet- you saved a show or two of ours and for that I cannot thank you guys enough. We are headed back out on the road this summer which means countless hours consuming every bit of information your site has to offer and flipping back and forth between IOTM and Gmail- I don't even want to imagine a day when you had to use a yellow pages to book. In 2012 all you need is an email account and IOTM and you can book shows with the best of them!
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/jrukkusThe members of MF RUCKUS have been touring in various capacities for well over 15 years. I remember the days when all the tour contacts were written down on a scrap of paper, a cell phone was a fairly new and expensive luxury and the only real resources you had were a wing & a prayer. The arrangement of venue listings streamlines the process of submitting requests and saves valuable hours... Band: "Can you suggest any locals" Venue: "All I know is bar sales and meth. Figure it out" Band resources too IOTM? Don't mind if we do! I would have literally given my left nut for a press/media directory. I'm not kidding. That, by far, is my favorite part. Thank you IOTM. You guys rule. PS. Our old band played with Zelazowa at The Nick in Birmingham. They were Intense, terrifying and completely awesome.
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/MFRuckusI would like to take the time to send this email to you guys and let you know how much we appreciate your service from down here in Louisiana. There have been over a dozen great bands come through Monroe to play at Tsunami who got our info off of your website. There have been countless others that have hit us up, but the dates or routes did not match up - but we made great relationships with the bands because our info is listed. The concept behind Indie On The Move is perfect for the 'do it yourself' way that underground music is being done these days. Your services provide accurate / priceless info that it would take bands, labels, and agencies hours to gather, in a simple to understand format. We (Musicians and Venues in Louisiana ) hope that you guys can continue to provide the service that you offer, and thank you for all the effort you guys put into it. https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/AntidonnieMy band needed to change our email to our own instead of our shnook ex manager's. Kyle was able to fix this problem within only a fee hours of my initial email. This guy is good, thanks so much!
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/addisonstationWhile looking for places to book Sugar Lime Blue, i called Spillway Bar & Grill in Bowling Green Ky. After having a good conversation, he told me to go to Indie On the Move & submit inquiries thru there. Relating tome that this was an invaluable tool for him & that i should check it out. After coming to the site, i registered & started looking thru availabilities & venues & started writing the people that i found here. I came across a guy named Ryan Kralik. He was looking for a supporting act for Knoxville . So i wrote him & booked our first gig thru this site. He later had bandmate problems while here in Nashville. I was able to provide him with some professional artists , to help him fulfill his gig. He then turned around & helped us get into a festival. I also came across a band called Saint Francis. They have members who have been a part of National touring groups & they were impressed with the sound of SLB. We are now working on several gig share opportunities. Since starting to use Indie on the Move , as a tool for getting gigs, i have signed with 6 different venues & made countless friends as a result of being a part of this site. Also i run a promotion company, promoting original artists. When they ask me for help & advice on how to get exposure for there music. The first suggestion i make is Indie, then Reverb. This tool is becoming very valuable to me & i appreciate the site for how it helps the Independent artist get noticed & the insights that are given in the industry news blogs. As well as the venues that we have become involved with , due to the participation of these places on this site We thank Indie on the Move for being here for bands like Sugar Lime Blue Richard Thornton Promoter & booking agent for Sugar Lime Blue Owner / Competition Band Promotions
