I’ve enjoyed using IOTM and definitely saw an increase in bookings. Perhaps most valued was simply helping me get a website set up that looked professional and conveyed the message I was hoping to send to potential venues. They have been responsive and always answered my questions timely and accurately. I continue to use IOTM to send out my emails and help me plan my trips through various markets.
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/philtittlemusicWe, The Lunar Keys, are from the suburbs of London (United Kingdom) and have relied on Indie on the Move to share our music with US radio stations. In doing so, we have found Indie on the Move to be a relevant, comprehensive and useful resource that has helped us secure US air play and helped us forge US relations. So thank you Kyle & Team for creating and updating it. Keep up the good work. It is much appreciated. Lunar Love The Lunar Keys https://linktr.ee/thelunarkeys
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/thelunarkeysI had booked a couple of tours 10 date tours in the past on my own and IOTM helped me to strategize on what could be improved. They helped with identifying key markets, provided feedback on my website and social media, and followed up with me on a regular basis to make sure I was seeing results. I’ve shifted my focus to making better use of my time and finding gigs that work with my schedule. IOTM has been a great resource for finding venues that I would not have known of through a Google search, and also providing contact info for hard to reach venues. Would definitely recommend them for anyone looking to put together an indie tour!
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/parkersmithsongsI had my first solo tour canceled in 2020 due to Covid. Trying to rebook it for 2021 was a challenge. I had just enough venues in my contacts to fill the previous run, but only a handful of those were booking outdoor music for the 2021 Summer. Then I found Indie on the Move. It helped me so much with finding places and markets along my route that I wouldn't have known about on my own. Love this site!
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/JasonHeeterI have struggled through several places trying to find one that actually cared about the artist and stand by their words to help get your career on the right track. They all say the same thing. Join us and we will do this.. Well Indie On The Move is the real deal. They even stay in contact with you. They're really there to help you. They have no problem with making sure they guide you to the best opportunity that can help you better your career. Unlike all the others who pitch you with making you a promise they never keep. Here on Indie on the Move, I'll stick with them forever. They have done more for me in such a short time than many other places, which I won't say no names because of slender reasons. But there are sites I'll never use again. If your serious about your music career. This is really the best place. No lie. Thank you so much Indie on The Move. I can't believe how fast you helped to get me noticed
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/j-starIndie on the Move is a huge help for a band like ours that hails from the middle of many markets. We have Memphis and Nashville to the northeast. Shreveport and New Orleans to the south. Dallas, Houston and Austin to the southwest. With that many major markets surrounding us a resource like IOTM is indispensable. Along with the standard resources we decided to utilize IOTM's Pro Services. Doing so sped up how fast shows started coming in and raised the bar on the level of professionalism of our bookings. Also, when I have a question about some of the more complicated aspects of communicating with venues and promoters my questions are quickly cleared up by either a phone call or an email directly with the folks who run IOTM. Lastly, the venues that pay well and have staying power use IOTM. To speak candidly, it seems like IOTM is a little venue heavy rather than band heavy like most resources online these days. This works out in the bands favor immensely. To give a complete testimonial, the only area I notice IOTM lacking in is DIY type shows. I started my music adventures in the punk rock world. We played a many Lion's Clubs, Community Centers, VFW halls. All of these places were rented out by an independent local promoter throwing a show. Maybe those DIY show promoters are on IOTM, and I just haven't worked with them yet. I ran across IOTM years ago and only wish I would have given it a try sooner!
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/RuarkAs a self-promoted singer songwriter, Matt’s 15 second story system has helped me to take a big step beyond the “family & friends” format in terms of live performance. It has also caused me to be more disciplined, consistent and prolific as a songwriter. Up to this point I had basically been cobbling together local gigs at restaurants and coffeehouses and hoping that the same people would come out to watch, effectively over saturating my audience. This caused me to procrastinate a lot when it came to composing new original material. I needed motivation and I needed a vehicle to write for, and I suspect that I am not the only one in this boat. The notion that I could use Spotify, Instagram and Facebook and Toneden.io as platforms to promote and market myself to the world at large, create new fans and followers and go to them to perform live has completely changed my concept of what my music career could be. On a technical level Matt really gets into the "fine grain" of how this all works. What to do, what not to do, what's worked for him and what hasn't. Fan base development, budgeting, recording, touring, It's all there. Matt's 15 second story system has gotten me back into the the game as a self promoted artist.
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/aregetsI've been a member of IOTM since 2013 (when I self-released my first record) and it has been a great resource for many tours I've booked since. Recently I enrolled in their '15-second story system', which walks you through the process of setting up your own algorithmic outreach for streaming platforms upon any release. The nuts and bolts are laid out really plainly and clearly for a luddite such as myself. By applying this strategy, I was able to push my latest single to heights that none of my previous releases have reached - without the help of a label or publicist. Indie On The Move's online community database has been an essential resource for promoters, venues, and bands for years - making it not only possible, but practical to tour, to promote a show, to build a venue that hosts offbeat/underground acts, and get a return on your blood, sweat & tears (investment). As independent artists, we have to constantly navigate the ever-changing 'business' end of making music. IOTM puts the power back at the musician's fingertips, and I'm eternally grateful for that.
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/lalalukesI have used IOTM for years with several different bands, including my old band, Throwing Plates. I have booked shows all up and down the east coast and I've discovered a few amazing venues just from Indie On The Move. The venues that know how good of a platform this is take advantage of it and I haven't ever had any real problems with communication. Assuming more venues begin hosting live music again this summer, IOTM will be a great tool to help us get back to touring.
https://www.indieonthemove.com/users/jamesbrittonmusicI have used Indie On The Move for 2 bands. The first of which (a duo) had a 3 month, 32 gig tour from Portland, ME to Denver, CO. All booked using the pro services tour routing. With the second band we used Indie On The Move to book a 5 week, 11 gig tour that ended with a show selling 205 tickets at $15 per ticket. From there the numbers have consistently climbed. This service gets results. If you are starting from scratch or want to extend your reach, IOTM is a must have!
