Goes by the name of Shleepii on stage because of his tight eyes in light, birth name Marcel Lamont Jackson Jr. born in Los Angeles, Ca but immediately raised in the rough side of the tracks in Cali, Oakland,Ca. Marcel Jackson was born on July 4th, 1997 as the child of a 17 yr old mother and 21 yr old father, practically raised by children and his grandparents. As a child Shleepii grew up a very talented little boy extremely fast. He played basketball, football, danced for programs and would love to sing on occasion. Many around always saw the star quality in him very interesting introvert. He tended to be shy until he got comfortable around those who he trusted and then would bless those around him with endless entertainment with dancing and singing. June 10th, 2008 Lil Wayne's The Carter III album released and at that very moment Shleepii fell in love with Rap and HipHop. Which later made him dig a little deeper into the beginnings of HipHop culture into learning about the greats of HipHop, from The NYC establishment of HipHop all the way down to what it has to offer today. Giving him the confidence to perform, record, and share his music with anyone who's willing to listen. He's been rapping for 3 yrs now and has done a handful of shows and events all through the Bay Area. The next step is to get more Nation wide exposure and change lives with my passion for music and the knowledge and wisdom from growing up in a beautiful struggle in Oakland and make the artistry of music my career.
