About

Cat Ridgeway, a 19 year-old singer/songwriter hailing from Orlando, Florida, has been performing and composing from the age of eight. A skilled lyricist and melodist, Cat’s eclectic style shines through her ability to play guitar and harmonica (at the same time!), trumpet, trombone, drums, piano, and bass - though only taking formal lessons for the trumpet. Cat has worked and continues to work with several producers, including Greg Rike of Orlando, FL (Producer of Deep Purple and The Back Street Boys) and most recently, Ben Cooper of Nashville, TN. She has had the privilege of opening for national acts including Dia Frampton (1st season of The Voice), Bill Payne (Little Feat), Marty Balin (Jefferson Airplane/Starship), and the Hoppen Brothers of Orleans. Cat's most recent project "Passenger Seat", recorded and partially written in Nashville, is a direct result of her overfunded Kickstarter campaign "Cat Goes to Nashville". She had the privilege of working with the likes of Gordon Kennedy (co-writer of "Change the World" which Eric Clapton made famous) and many other seasoned Nashville players. Cat's debut album "On a Windy Day" was recorded at the Music Lab located in Orlando, Florida. (Fun fact! The title track was written for the Movie "Bernie" starring Jack Black, Shirley Maclaine, and Matthew McConaughey... sadly, it didn't make the final cut - still super cool, though!). Following this release, Cat has lent her voice to some notable causes. She has performed with Tunes for Tots, which produces musical events that benefit many children's charities such as Make A Wish Foundation. She also recently wrote, produced, and recorded the theme song for the soon to be released video for "Camp Healing Hearts", Hospice of the Comforter's new children's bereavement camp. Cat strongly believes that she has the most supportive family and friends. Words cannot express how much she appreciates them and every person who has helped her along her way. From the bottom of her heart, she sincerely thanks you for your support.
