The Highway Women include singer/songwriters, multi-instrumentalists, KK Bodiford, Amelia Presley, and Sara Spicer. These artists embrace the heart and soul of country music, both past and present. Their first release in December 2016 was "Highwayman," to honor some of their biggest influences, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Johnny Cash, and Waylon Jennings. Most recently, they released their first original single, "Deep Waters." Some of the key players on their singles were Mickey Raphael (Willie Nelson's harmonica player), as well as Robby Turner (Steel Guitarist for Chris Stapleton & Waylon Jennings' former player). The Highway Women are all about empowering others through their songs and lyrics, and embracing every aspect of country music!
