They can host live music any night of the week. While most shows are open to all ages, they can be 18+ or 21+ depending on what is arranged. Since 1980, The Blue Note has brought acts such as Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Red Hot Chili Peppers, O.A.R., Modest Mouse, Cage the Elephant, Eli Young Band, Bassnecter, Snoop Dogg, and countless others to Columbia. The Blue Note is connected to and affiliated with Rose Music Hall.
