"The Maintenance Shop, or M-Shop as it is affectionately known, is the longest running nightclub in Ames, IA. The M-Shop is located in the west entrance of the Memorial Union at Iowa State University and hosts around 60 musical shows a year." This venue is run by Iowa State University and is located on campus. They can host live music any night of the week when school is in session. Tuesdays are open mic if there is no show scheduled.
